Band Geeks.

I guess it DOES pay not be be a Band Geek these days... When I was in High School (as a Chorus Nerd) the leader of the Band Geeks was one, Mr. Burke. Mr. Burke seemed like such a nice guy.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but Mr. Burke got himself into a wee bit of trouble. To quote the Virginian Pilot he was "charged with having an inappropriate relationship with one of his 14-year-old students at Polk County High School in Columbus, N.C. According to local newspaper accounts, Burke had been a music teacher and band director there since 2002." The story goes on to say, "The kissing, back rubs and touching happened the next year."

Uh. Ew.

I guess it does pay to be a Chorus Nerd!
