in memoriam

This weekend I attended the memorial service for my grandpa in Ft. Myers, Fl.
Despite the circumstances of this trip, I had a really great time. I think everyone was able to remember, treasure and celebrate our grandfather in a very personal way. It was nice speaking with his closest friends at the service and hearing how much of an impact he had on their lives. I am thankful to have such a great man as my grandpa!

Jefferson's Memorial as seen from the air

The view of the National Mall from the air. Working from the bottom of the picture up, is the Lincoln Memorial, the reflecting pond, the WWII memorial, the Washington Monument and you can barely make out the Capitol building in the top of the pic.

Other stuff from this weekend :)

So this weekend I went to see Bryan in Philly. (I left early on Sunday to head to  Beth's Bridal Shower.) Bryan and I had a nice time.  We went for a walk along the Schuylkill River, but that ended quickly, because it was SOOOOOOO cold and muddy and wet. We decided to postpone our walk for a few weeks until it is warm again!!! :)

Here are a few pictures from our (short) walk.

This picture is very important, because it justifies one of my favorite treats ever - a water ice.  At home, using the Magic Bullet, I combine Ice and Water and blend to make the perfect icy treat - WATER ICE.  I know you can't read that sign very well, but the first line says they have WATER ICE!  haha :)  YUMMMEEEE!

When my parents came to visit last week they brought me a lil' tulip plant.
Here are some pretty pictures of the pretty tulip plant!  :)

Here is a pic of my pals Kristen (vocalist on the left), Kiesha (vocalist on the right) and Nicole (on the drums) .  They are rockin it out at my church FCC!  If you don't have a church, you should def. stop by mine!  It is really great!!!  :)  I'm singing this weekend, so I'll be there all three services!!!  :)  I'll sing for ya!!!  :)
