More About LONDON!!!

Bryan and I had a great time!!!
London is very nice... the city is full of many interesting things to see!
We checked out Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, numerous museums, played with pigeons, ate sushi, ate pasties (YUM!), ate fish and chips, rode the London Eye, viewed London from the tower in Westminster Cathedral, shopped in Harrods, shopped at the Covent Gardens market, walked down Portobello Road in Notting Hill, saw the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Trafalger's Square, parused Piccadilly Circus, watched the baby rats play on the subway tracks, we took pictures in a phone booth, drooled over the queen's jewels, got hooked on this late night television game-show called "the Mint," we walked and walked and walked and walked until our feet hurt.
Ahhh... it was busy, but good. Now here are some more pictures!!! :)

The picture above and below were taken in the Tower of London. The TofL is a super old castle that is now a museum/tourist attraction. Housed inside the Tower of London is a bunch of neat stuff about knights and armor and weapons and such. Bryan and I are trying to size up how we would work as a knight!

There are a bunch of ravens (whose wings have been clipped) that roam the T of L. They are pretty docile and let ya get close. They like to pose for the camera!

One of the Towers at the Tower of London

The "Tower of London" from afar....

Right inside the gates of the TofL there was a skating rink... B wanted to get our picture in front of the skaters... Aahhhhhh Crimbo (as the Brits call Christmas for short) what a great time of year!!!

Along with all of the information about the knights and such at the TofL, there is also another super special thing housed there.... the QUEENS JEWELS!!! For over 600 years kings and queens of England have stored crowns, robes and other valuable items of ceremonial regalia at the Tower of London. Since the 17th century, at least, this collection has been known as the 'Crown Jewels' and has been shown to visitors to the Tower. This guard (known as a Beefeater) is guarding the room where the jewels are held.... You can't take pictures of the jewels, sooo... I stole this one off the web somewhere....

We got to see things like this crown - HOLY COW. The Queen is one LUCKY chick!!! She has some BLING BLING!!!!! I drooled the whole time I was in there.... She has this one scepter that has a diamond the size of your FIST! It is CRAZY! and did I mention GORGEOUS!!!!!

Another view of one of the towers

This is a picture of Tower Bridge... London Bridge is a real let down... seriously it looks like an overpass to a highway, except it spans the Thames. The Tower Bridge is really the cool bridge to see.

B and I went up in the London Eye - it is a HUGE ferris wheel that you can see the entire city from each of the pods you ride in... The London Eye is across the river from Parliment and Big Ben. This picture is of both of those, and you can also see Westminster Abbey in the background (it is a greyish building directly behind the Parliment building)

When we went to see the changing of the guard, there was a lot of action surrounding the event (plus a LOT of RAIN!). We were outside when the Royal Guard went down the street to pick someone up to bring them to the castle... This Rolls is one of the queen's whips!

There is someone super important in that carriage, we just don't know who!

The highly decorated Buckingham Palace Gates

One of the Queen's Horse Guards

Bryan in front of Buckingham Palace. Seriously I was expecting something super amazing... her house is a big grey building!!! Seriously, after seeing her bling, I was expecting SOOOO much more!

B with the Horse Guards in the background

No more PICTURES!

inside of the British Museum, where we saw Monet's Waterlilies and a whole lot of other famous paintings.

Our hotel was in a SUPER great location - Piccadilly Circus. This picture was taken a few steps from our hotel. Everything was decked out for Crimbo!

Ring Ring - Hello!

He doesn't like talking on the phone it seems... hahahah ;)

In Trafalager's Square, there are pidgeons EVERYWHERE!!! This guy comes around and helps you get "connected" per se... B and I were lucky... we survived our bird experience without any accidents. I'm sure some people aren't as lucky!

There is a bird in my HAIR!

B was much calmer with a bird playing in his hair!

And last, but not least... the food. It was ok... We really liked some things, and other items were just ok... Bryan realllly likes this hot doggy/sausage thingy he is about to scarf down!!! I opted for the much tastier Yo! Sushi

My Birf Day et al.

I don't have all the pictures from my birthday developed just yet... I still have to finish the roll... If anyone is looking for any last minute gift ideas, I'd def. be willing to take the Canon Digital Rebel Xti off your hands... Just think... You'd have much quicker access to pictures - - we wouldn't have to wait for the roll to finish!!! hahahha :)
