OK, I have a proposal for you...

Do you like my pics?  Would you like to see more of my work at a higher quality?

I'm preparing to purchase this camera, the Canon 50D.   I'm expecting total cost to run around $2,500.00 (including a new lens).  In order to purchase this camera, I'm asking for donations to help defer the cost.

In return for your donation of $25.00 or more, I will either provide you with a print of one of my favorite macro photos, or if you are local, I will do a mini portrait shoot for you so you can have a sweet pic of yourself.  The choice is yours.  :)

Just think of your donation as a down payment on years of photographic enjoyment!  Thanks for your help.

If you need my mailing address, or any other information in order to donate, please send me an email, or leave a comment on this blog post.  Either way, I will get in touch with you.

February Excitement

So the past few weeks have been full of excitement for me.  This is going to be a LONG post... get ready!!!  Here are some highlights and pics:

I start a new job on Tuesday! yay!  From my office, I will have a KILLER view of the DC and the monuments.  (Sorry no pics yet, but there will be SOON!)

When I went to Philly the other weekend, I experienced the "Italian Market." Holy cow! How fun is that. :)

Just a quick view of some of the tasty eats! I enjoyed the sights and sounds of this famous open market.

Philly has some beautiful sights (see below) but parts are a little... welll.. er... "rough"

Beautiful building, beautiful sky

Another beautiful building - If I remember correctly, this is some of the decoration on their city hall building.

The K-Mart sign was in need of repair... I just screamed... "kiss my bum!"

I had so much fun at Jess and Robby's birthday celebration! It was a great night celebrating BOTH of their birthdays!!!  As always - a blast!!!  :)

Janice, Daryl, me :)

As you can see from the amount of pictures, it has been a busy month!!!  Tomorrow for President's Day, I'm heading to the newly remodeled Virginia capitol building.  I'm sure there will be more pictures of that!!!  This weekend my parents are coming down for a visit.  I'm not sure what we are doing just yet, but I'm sure MORE photos will be involved there too!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for more pics soon!!!!!!!  :)

100 in 1001

So I've been inspired by a few blogs, and I'm going to start a 100 in 1001. What is a 100 in 1001, you ask? Well, it is a list of 100 things that you want to complete in the next 1001 days. My list will be posted before my birthday but the start date will be my birthday, Nov 12, 2007. That will mean that by Monday, Aug 9, 2010 I will need to complete my 100. If I am successful in this list, that will mean that right before I turn 30 I will have this list completed.

Check out these blogs to see what I'm talking about:

100:1001
Finishing School
Persephone's Awakening

My list will be posted soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

MORIMOTO!!!!! :)

So today at Weggies, I got to meet Chef Masaharu Morimoto! He did two demonstrations, one of a tuna pizza, the other of a dikon radish pasta, both from his new cookbook. It was really neat to get to watch such a famous chef in real life. I was peeing my pants the whole time. Afterwards, he signed autographs and I got one of those too!!!! It was pretty sweet.
Shout out to my girl Bridget (whose birthday is next week) because she got me into the demonstration!!!!!! Thanks a bunch B!!! :)

Enjoy the photos! :)

Me and Morimoto - isn't he a CUTIE!!!  :)

Tuna Pizza

Dikon Fettucine with Tomato Basil Sauce (holy yum!)

Pulling the final dikon dish out of the pan! :)

Stirring! :) Gosh I had a good time!!!!! :)
